Being in the field of art and design is something that I have always been a part of, however, to pursue a career in the arts is my ultimate goal. My ambition for any of my future careers and jobs would to be relevant to the subjects of Art and Design.

My reasons for undertaking this course, are to expand my knowledge within the domain of art. I have chosen these paintings to showcase my recent exploration in art. One of my biggest inspirations within art is Jenny Saville, I love the grotesque and unsightly aspect and atmosphere of her work and how true to life it is. This is what inspired me to complete these paintings for my most recent project. The study is about ‘the body’ and focuses on the grotesque aspect of the human body. My reasons for undertaking this course, is to expand my knowledge. I am also eager to undertake a range of different projects to grow my artistic capability. I also hope to achieve more skills in the future. With this course I hope to explore further, all aspects and gain a greater depth of understanding.
